Electrical Panel Upgrades in Goleta, CA

Goleta splits cleanly in two when it comes to electrical service, and which half you live in decides the job. Old Town and the older blocks off Hollister were built when 100-amp service was plenty, and they are the ones calling us now that there is a car to charge and a battery to mount. Storke Ranch and the newer developments usually came with 200 amps from the start, so there the work is the circuit, not the service. A panel upgrade in Goleta means a permit from the City of Goleta and a coordinated service change with Southern California Edison, both of which we file. The Edison side is usually what sets the schedule rather than our own calendar, and we will tell you that up front rather than promise a date we do not control. Out toward Ellwood and Winchester Canyon the coastal exposure matters as much as it does in Santa Barbara: outdoor enclosures take salt air year round, so we specify for it rather than fitting whatever is cheapest and returning in four years.
